Every 2 weeks I get 10 pounds of farm fresh organic vegetables and fruits. What to do with them?CSA BOX Getting a regular CSA box is a new experience for me. We have a new place in our neighborhood called FoodShed Small Farm Distro. They support small, local farmers who use sustainable farming methods. I am happy to support these farmers, and especially happy to taste their awesome produce. THE CHALLENGE Yesterday the person at FoodShed challenged me to create meals just from what's in the box, and then teach a class/demo on how I did it. I'm not sure about teaching a class, but I can write a blog post. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED So, my first attempt was cooking these oyster mushrooms and baby garlic. For both of them I had to look them up to see what the heck they were, and how they could be used in a recipe. And they were so pretty, I had to take some photos first. THE RECIPE - Oyster Mushrooms and Baby Garlic It's so simple you can hardly call it a recipe, but here goes:
